Showed up on my newsfeed and couldn't help but post here. A Rohit Shetty film is a Rohit Shetty film due to a reason - hope the narration below puts things into perspective.
Watched Dilwale @ Ramakrishna theater 70mm. Pappa was excited reliving his student days as Ramakrishna was popular in those days. For me, the theater brought back the memories of the old style theaters from my childhood.
The movie is full of masala. Rohit shetty's movies remind me of some elements of telugu movies here and there. Dilwale = Basha(Rajini)+Annaya(Chiranjeevi)+Rohit Shetty's adaptation.
ALthough there are drag elements in the movie watching the masala movie in the masala theater was a funny experience. Audience whistling on the entry of SRK and prompting the dialogues added more spice.
As usual SRK was awesome. His stardom was really felt in Ramakrishna when the audience whistled, clapped, threw color papers especially for the following two dialogues:
"Hum shareef kya hue ... poori duniya hi badmash ban gayi"
"Dil toh har kisi ke paas hota hai ... lekin sab dilwale nahi hote"
