Scoop: Salman Khan reserves both Eid & Diwali 2017

It's Kabir Khan's film for Salman Khan next Eid. While for Diwali 2017, Salman is doing Raj Kumar Santoshi's next which Salman's sister Alvira will produce.
Salman Khan loves to do the unexpected. Whispers from Galaxy, his home in Bandra Mumbai, suggested that Salman would no longer work in his family's home productions. This belief was further strengthened when Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg 3 was put on hold.
But now Salman is doing a film for his family again. Yes, he will star in a film to be produced by his sister Alvira and brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri.
Most surprisingly this film, to be released during Diwali 2017, will be directed by Salman's Andaz Apna Apna director Raj Kumar Santoshi. The brilliant director of Lajja, Damini, Ghayal and Ghatak has been out of circulation for several years. His last directed film was the failed comedy Phata Poster Nikla Hero in 2013, after which at least three proposed films to be helmed by Santoshi were shelved.
It is surprising that Salman Khan has agreed to team up with Santoshi at a time when the director is down and out. On the other hand, that's Salman for you. Always there for the underdog.
A reliable source informs, "Santoshi's film is a powerful drama of the kind Salman has never done before, very different from what they did together in Andaz Apna Apna. It will be released for Diwali 2017. For Eid 2017 Salman Khan has already locked in another film with Kabir Khan. So Salman is all set for 2017."
After the success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman Khan Films confirms their next production starring Salman Khan and to be directed by Kabir Khan releasing Eid 2017! Principal photography for the same starts in July 2016 in Ladakh.
Talking about the new project, Kabir Khan says, "From Ek Tha Tiger to Bajrangi Bhaijaan, it has been a great journey working with Salman Khan. I'm excited to start our new film, and come this July, we will commence our shoot in Ladakh and I'm sure we will have as much fun making it as we did while shooting Bajrangi Bhaijaan."
Amar Butala COO Salman Khan Films added, "Salman Khan Films is delighted to bring together the winning combination of Salman and Kabir again after the remarkable success of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film will release on Eid 2017 and we hope this film will be as loved as Bajrangi Bhaijaan!"
Salman Khan’s upcoming film Tubelight with director Kabir Khan is based on the 1962 War. It will be set in Sino – India war zone in Ladakh. The film will also star Sohail Khan in key role along with a Chinese kid.
Reports suggest that Sohail Khan will play a mute character in the film. The hunt for the film’s leading lady is still on, though, we heard that the role of heroine is not that meaty, yet impactful.
The official announcement of the leading lady is expected to happen anytime soon. The film is set to go on floors in Ladakh from 20th July. Apparently, the 1st schedule will not require leading lady.
Tubelight is the third collaboration between Salman and Kabir after Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The film will be produced by Salman Khan under his banner Salman Khan films. It is set to release in Eid 2017.
I don't see anyone making an end to this at least not in the next 3/4 years, he and Aamir will keep blocking all the major festival weekends. But that is how it work : winners take it all
Ajay,SRK,Akshay,Hrithik,Ranveer,Ranbir are left fighting among each other for minor festival dates
Nothing lasts forever... Salman and Aamir would not either..
Akshay has no friendship or other issues. Since not too much is expected of him in terms of records and all.. He will gladly clash with others if one of his many films is complete. Ajay is the same.
SRK is a separate category for now. He needs few good movies.. He can give Blockbusters anytime without the festivals... The festivals just add 20-40 crore max.. Its in the mind.. he just has to believe Even without Blockbusters.. he can just quit playing the number game and think of the long haul.. I know he will be acting and making money when Salman is done and dusted...

Akshay Kumar is in the news for having four films lined up in 2017, Aamir Khan is still basking in the glory of his mammoth blockbuster Dangal, which has already crossed Rs 300 crore in less than two weeks, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for the release of Raees this month, which will clash with Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil... Salman Khan started the new year with a bang - sending his fans into a tizzy when he announced that Akshay Kumar has been roped in to act in his home production, in collaboration with Karan Johar. Now this is something unheard of in Bollywood - that a superstar signs on another when they both are on top of their game. We can expect fireworks at the ticket window, cause this combination is lethal.
Is Bollywood going the Hollywood route? The West is famous for the bonhomie between actors. Remember how producer Brad Pitt let Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg take centrestage in The Departed? Producer George Clooney brought Ben Affleck on board as an actor as well as director for Argo. Interestingly, none of these films saw the celebrity producer on screen. This model has worked like magic in the West, and with Salman and Akshay playing their cards right, we won't be surprised if their move becomes a trend setter in Bollywood too.
Meanwhile the actor Salman Khan has Kabir Khan's war-drama Tubelight up for release this Eid. And news is that Salman has given a nod to play father to a 13-year-old girl in a dance-drama to be directed Remo DSouza. This yet-untitled film revolves around the emotional journey of an ageing dancer, and while Salman had to bulk up to play wrestler in Sultan, he will have to go lean for this role. Interestingly, the last time we saw Salman play a reluctant father on screen was 18 years ago in Jab Pyaar Kisi Se Hota Hai. By the looks of it, Salman seems to be taking a cue from good friend Aamir Khan to opt for age-appropriate roles.
But before this dance film goes on floors, Salman will start shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar's next, titled Tiger Zinda Hai in mid 2017. A sequel to Ek Tha Tiger, this one will also feature Katrina Kaif romancing Salman. Buzz is that Salman is back in former beau, Katrina's life as a guiding light - the 51-year-old actor has been counselling Kat about her film and career choices. That's not all, Salman has also been a shoulder to cry on when Katrina was going through a rough break-up with Ranbir Kapoor. Katrina has been spotted at various family get-togethers and wrap-up parties on the sets of Tubelight.
On his 51st birthday on December 27, Salman unveiled his app, Being in Touch. This app gives access to his fans about his upcoming films, and a glimpse into his personal space. Salman has also added a foreign tour in his 2017 itinerary. Titled DA BANG, the tour will see a bevy of beauties like Sonakshi Sinha, Bipasha Basu and others travel across Australia and New Zealand with Salman in April and May.
And there's more good news in store for Salman and Shah Rukh Khan fans. The two stars are all set to share screen space yet again in Bigg Boss Season 10. The last time SRK graced Bigg Boss was to promote his home production Dilwale, and the TV ratings for their episode went through the roof. However, this time, Shah Rukh will be a part of the finale episode on January 20, to promote Raees, which is set for a Republic Day release.
