He may have created waves with his charming Ted Talk on international shores, but on home turf, Shah Rukh Khan is struggling for a major commercial hit. All of the six Khan-starrers to hit the marquee in the past four years, including Happy New Year (2014), Dilwale (2015), Fan (2016), Dear Zindagi (2016), Raees and the recently released Jab Harry Met Sejal, received a lukewarm reception by cinegoers. This dry spell might be particularly bothersome for Shah Rukh Khan given that his contemporaries, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, have enjoyed a dream run at the BO. We hear that in a bid to up his game, SRK is meeting a few directors, one among whom is Shoojit Sircar.
A source reveals, "Both of them are keen to collaborate on a film that will be based on the Indian Army. It will be along the lines of SRK's career-defining television series, Fauji (1988). Currently, Shoojit is busy with the pre-production of his next, October, with Varun Dhawan, while SRK is working on Aanand L Rai's next, in which he plays a dwarf."
