^I really hope you are right! I've loved every single SRK-Adi movie (more than even SRK-Yash Chopra). Aditya Chopra really knows how to make movies that appeal to both mass and class (RNBDJ, DDLJ, even the Dhoom series). At the same time this news wouldn't surprise me totally, Ranveer Singh has great potential and has already done 3-4 movies with YRF.

I hope this news about Adi's film isn't true. I want SRK in it. I remember in 2010 rumours spread that Yash Chopra had signed Aamir Khan for his next and everyone went nuts.. Later we found out that it was rubbish. Hope same happens here.
Ranveer Singh quashes rumours of being directed by Aditya Chopra
Actor Ranveer Singh says he would love to a directed by ace filmmaker Aditya Chopra. There was buzz that Aditya Chopra's next directorial venture would have Ranveer in the lead, but the actor quashed such rumours.
"It is not true, but I wish it was. Being directed by Adi sir in a movie would be a dream come true for me," Ranveer told . Ranveer was launched by YRF banner in 'Band Baaja Baarat', which was a huge hit. His second film 'Ladies vs Ricky Bahl' was again with Chopra's banner.
He later acted in two films - 'Lootera' and 'Ram Leela' - which were not backed by YRF. However, his two upcoming movies - action drama 'Gunday' and romance-action flick 'Kill Dill' - are with Yash Raj Films.
Last August, a week after CE released, SRK also said Aditya's writing something for him and he'll finalise the deal this December (after HNY releases):
After 'Happy New Year', Shah Rukh will decide on the project he will do with Aditya Chopra, who is currently writing a script for him.
"Adi (Aditya Chopra) is a family. We sit and discuss work. He is writing something for me. But I am not deciding on something now from Yash Raj. I will finalise the deal next December after 'Happy New Year' releases," he said.
Popular director Rohit Shetty, who teamed up with superstar Shah Rukh Khan to deliver last year's massive hit "Chennai Express", has stated the actor is now like a part of the family to him.
Rohit, known for his masala flicks, is on a roll and is now hosting "Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi" season 5, where he would oversee contestants performing dangerous stunts.
The 40-year-old director said that after "Chennai Express", he shares a warm rapport with Shah Rukh.
Rohit refereed to the superstar as family in an interview to PTI. "No equations have changed for me after this film in the industry. It is just that I have made a great friend... a family member in Shah Rukh Khan," the director said.
FOLLOW US The director further stated that working with the 48-year-old superstar was enlightening and a 'positive experience' for him. Rohit revealed that a future film with SRK is on the cards but asserted that the film would not be a sequel to "Chennai Express", akin to his "Golmaal" and "Singham" series films.
"We will do a film together. It will be that (masala entertainer) way only. We are just at planning stage at present, nothing is finalised... At present there are no plans of sequel as the story is not like that. 'Chennai Express' doesn't require it. But Shah Rukh Khan and I are definitely working together for a film," he pointed out.
Apart from hosting the action reality show, Rohit is gearing up for the sequel to "Singham", which has him reuniting with Ajay Devgn, the star of his other major blockbusters. The film will also star Kareena Kapoor in the female lead.
"Singham 2" tentative release date has been set for Independence Day this year.
After being an SRK loyalist, Karan’s newly developed association with Salman Khan is now under the scanner. Karan however doesn’t like to look at it that way. “Apart from being colleagues and business partners, Shah Rukh and I are friends before anything. Nothing can change that. I remember during 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' (where he played an assistant to director Aditya Chopra) I was awestruck by him as an actor. My love and respect for him has only grown over the years,” he says. Karan had once claimed that he’d only direct a film if SRK played the lead in it. But after 'Student Of The Year', can one assume that he’s gone back on his words? “Technically not. SRK might not have acted in the film, but he still co-produced it. But if you ask me, I’d really like to direct SRK and Kajol together once again. Our association has been a hit in the past and I am sure it will be again. I am working on a script towards that.”
SRK In And As Alwyn Kalicharan? by Box Office India (February 8, 2014) Anurag Kahsyap’s ambitious project Alwyn Kalicharan had created quite a stir in the industry when the first look of the film was revealed a few years ago. The crime thriller, which was to be produced by Tutu Sharma, was announced with Anil Kapoor in the lead and the story was based on a futuristic theme, where the economy had crashed and no one works any more. Pleasure is the only business. People sleep through the day and come out to ‘work’ only at night. However, the film ground to a halt.
The latest buzz on the film is that this mega-budget project is on the verge of being revived and Kashyap has approached Shah Rukh Khan to play the title role. Also, now that Kashyap has started his own production house, Phantom Films will be backing the film.
Since Shuddhi is been announed Karan Johar wouldn’t have imagine that the movie will be in news but due to wrong reasons. After Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor quitting the movie, there were lots of speculations of who will be the lead for the film, the rumours were doing the rounds of having Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the film.
But the recent buzz is its none other than KJo’s best friend Shah Rukh Khan who is roped in the film. A close source to Karan Johar says “Karan was very upset with the delay of Shuddhi,as he couldn’t force Hrithik to be a part of the film due to his health issues and later Kareena too showed her disinterest for the film,Srk is been approched for the film and also he has given the green signal for the film adds the source”.
It will be a delight to see King Khan in Shuddhi.Despite Shah Rukh having a busy year ahead with Happy New Year and later he will start shooting for YRF’s next project Fan,SRK considered is best friend film and agreed to do it.
KJO must have taken a sigh of relief, well what are friends for.
I loved karan malhotra. I would be extatic at this being true. However seeing SRK's relationship with Dharma I don't know how true this would be. Also isn't 25th Dec a different khan's release date :-p
Anyways Karan tweeted the release date and claims he will announce cast soon
I don't think SRK has anytime until late 2015 to work on a movie right? I don't think the Shuddhi Rumor is true. Because Raees will probably take up the first half of 2015. And he's got Rohit Shetty's after that which is pretty much confirmed. And timing wise the Aditya Chopra movie makes perfect sense, 2016 is when Chopra's next movie is supposed to come out since He's been releasing a movie once every 8 years this decade haha.
Shah Rukh Khan in Shuddhi? Tuesday, February 18, 2014 - 06:00 IST | Place: Mumbai | Agency: DNA
Buzz is that the actor will star in Karan Johar’s production.
B-Town is abuzz with the news that Shah Rukh Khan will step in as the lead actor of Shuddhi, a position recently vacated by Hrithik Roshan. The whispers started after Karan Johar tweeted that the film will release on Christmas 2015.
After Hrithik opted out of the role, Karan was clear that this film needed a superstar. All the new actors are not in the reckoning. Which led to the speculation that Dharma’s favourite SRK might be returning to the production house.
Says an industrywallah, “Shah Rukh came with Chennai Express in Eid, (considered Salman Khan’s date) and broke records. Now if he has a release on X’Mas (which belongs to Aamir Khan) and shatter box-office figures, it will be the ultimate high. Even though Aamir has not made an announcement yet for December 2015, he has released his last three films have released on that date.”
If SRK does this film, it will mark his return to Dharma after My Name Is Khan (2010). However, this time Karan Johar will only be involved only in the capacity of a producer as Karan Malhotra is helming this project. The part of the leading lady belongs to Deepika Padukone. Her name was being tossed around even when Kareena Kapoor Khan was the official heroine, before she stepped out. So if it is SRK-Deepika, then it will be their fourth film together, after Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express and Happy New Year.
Says an industrywallah, “Shah Rukh came with Chennai Express in Eid, (considered Salman Khan’s date) and broke records. Now if he has a release on X’Mas (which belongs to Aamir Khan) and shatter box-office figures, it will be the ultimate high.”
Don't these people find it stupid to say all this. Such petty competitions giving the ultimate high. Such nonsense.
Shah Rukh Khan to make a guest appearance in Youngistaan? By Subhash K. Jha, February 18, 2014 - 10:25 hrs IST
While all the shooting of debutant director Syed Ahmed Afzal's Youngistaan featuring Jackky Bhagnani as a young dynamic prime minister is nearly complete, one crucial sequence remains to be filmed.
It's a scene featuring Shah Rukh Khan. An integral part of the script, the scene was written into the plot from its inception. Apparently the film's prime-minister protagonist's girlfriend, played by Neha Sharma, is a diehard Shah Rukh Khan fan.
The scene requires the very dynamic prime minister to arrange a quiet surprise meeting between his girlfriend and her celluloid crush.
In fact the scene to feature Jackky, Neha, and Jackky's screen-mentor Farooq Sheikh was shot without Shah Rukh just before Farooq's death.
Says a source, "Shah Rukh's scene in Youngistaan is important. He comes in at a crucial moment in the plot for a cute cameo. So sure were producer Vashu Bhagnani and his leading man Jackky of getting Shah Rukh for the role that they shot the sequence on Farooq's insistence just before his death. The scene was done with the idea of filling in Shah Rukh's shots later."
Alarmingly the film's release is now a month away. Shah Rukh is yet to find the time to do the scene.
Says the source, "Vashu and Shah Rukh share a warm rapport. In fact Shah Rukh generously gave Vashu the title Rangrezz which was the property of Shah Rukh's production house. There is no doubt that Shah Rukh wants to do the needful. But the dates are a problem."
It is at the moment unclear how the SRK factor would pan out in Youngistaan.
Producer Vashu Bhagnani says, "Yes, there is a scene where a major superstar is to appear. But I can't confirm who he is until it happens."
Earlier Dibakar Banerjee had written a cameo specially for Ranbir Kapoor playing himself in Bombay Talkies. After waiting till the final hours before release Dibakar had to shoot the scene with a duplicate. A similar no-show happened when Emraan Hashmi was to appear as himself in Tigmanshu Dhulia's Bullett Raja.
In sharp contrast the Big B very generously played himself in a Kannada film Amrithadhare in which a hero had to fulfil his dying wife's last wish to meet the Big B.
The Big B not only readily agreed to play the role-his only appearance in a South Indian film-he refused to charge any money for the friendly appearance.
Shah Rukh Khan has done the maximum number of cameos and "friendly appearances" to help out friends and aspirants. In all he has done cameo appearances in 26 films so far.
Youngistaan would be Shah Rukh Khan's 27th guest appearance.
