Nonsense Ki Night
Singer: Mika Lyrics: Irshad Kamil Composer: Vishal/Shekhar
This song is in English or Hinglish as it's called. The lyrics are mostly Indian Idioms or proverbs which I have translated to be as close to English meanings as possible.
Oh dance not coming, courtyard crooked A poor worker blames his tools Eating cake, by being stupid Being of no use but still reaping benefits Buffalo going in the water..(gayi Bhains paani mein) Once it’s gone good luck getting it back If you tiger main tiger and quarter I'm bigger and better than you
I'm feeling alright cuz it’s a nonsense ki night (4)
Oh monkey what know flavor of ginger Those who don’t know, can’t appreciate /casting pearls before swine In the jungle peacock is dancing, who has seen her Even a good thing has to be made public to be noticed Whose stick, is his buffalo Might is right But remember…hundred of goldsmiths equals one of blacksmith Power of one strong stroke equals hundred weak ones
I’m feeling alright….
Clouds that make noise don’t rain Barking dogs seldom bite Staying in water don't be enemy of crocodile You cannot live in Rome and fight with the Pope
Why? Because I'm feeling alright….
All is in the well if end is in the well All’s well that ends well Oh baaki duniya go to hell The rest of the world can go to hell

Thanks so much Uma! even as someone who understands most Hindi, and despite the song actually being mostly English, I couldn't make heads or tail of this song. I like this song now more than before for sure.
