Looks like Rohit Shetty decided to slack and not put in any effort into this one. The story is hackneyed with nothing novel in it. The scene where Kajol and Shah Rukh meet for the first time has got to be one of the worst hero-heroine meets , almost a tribute to Salman Khan. Apart from the song in Iceland the production values seem low budget. Shahrukh pulled off the bearded and non-bearded look better in Happy New Year. With all the build up of the character Kaali, in the end he just gets to beat up Boman in a yellow suit. And the movie just seems to go on and on not knowing when to end , once i heard that last line thats when i knew for sure its wrapping up. Positives are the song in Iceland, and some comedy from Varun and the supporting cast
Well off course movie reactions are all personal and vary , but really this came off as if the whole team was not putting to much effort into it. Plus Happy New Year(yeah it was inane but also fun) and Chennai Express( liked that a lot more) were entertaining through most of it. And this movie did not befit a SRK-Kajol re-union (IMHO)
For mee dilwale is much better than hny and CH movie is good in each and every part way you fans talk about nagevety about srk or his movies I love srk dilwale is amazing movie know waiting for fan and raees.....
This was the main problem for me too. The most unconvincing thing in the movie. I mean how can a gangster introduce himself to a girl he is supposed to fall in love by saying that he is a gangster and being followed by his rival gangsters.
I disagree with sean's explanation. In my mind, dnkdreamz, it was love at the first sight for Kaali and when he saw her again, he simply wanted to be honest (because, genuinely, he is an honest guy)and not lie to her about himself. In addition, he did not hear Meera when she said her family name.

If I have to go purely by a happiness meter after watching each of these three films, then HNY > Dilwale > CE. However, if I look at these a little more critically then Dilwale > CE =~ HNY . None was far superior than any of the others for me.
Ok Folks I have come out with my trusted scissor and snipped all the offending posts and reactions to those. Now let's start over again in a much more civil manner please. Member bashing is not allowed. Period. I cant believe that folks here haven't got that message after so many years.
There are 2 kinds of members. Those that feel we admins are being too strict and restrictive and not allowing them, as true fans, to express how they feel, negative or positive, to SRK's movies and choice of movies. Then there are those who feel we are not doing enough to stop the naysayers.
We admins have to tread a fine line here and try to maintain a semblance of peace so everyone can enjoy this forum. And that's not easy. We have our own lives too.
So please help us by being the mature individuals that you are and try not to get on each others' nerves?
Sorry for hijacking your thread Hotboarder but it had to be said. But I don't want any reactions to my post here so please guys, continue with the topic at hand.
